What is the use of winding machine?

Winding is the first process of preparation before weaving. Its task is to process the pipe yarn or hank yarn from the spinning part into a cone that meets certain requirements on the winding machine.

The functions of winding process can be summarized as the following two points:

(1) the original yarn (or filament) is made into a bobbin with a capacity of trap, which is provided for warp warping, weft rolling, knitting, weft supply or dyeing of shuttle-less looms. In terms of pipe yarn capacity, the pipe yarn packed in large rolls can only hold about 2500m of 29.2 Tex (20 English count) cotton yarn. If the pipe yarn is directly used in warping or weft feeding on the loom, the stopping time will be too long due to frequent tube change, which is not in line with the technical requirements, and is not conducive to improve the production efficiency.The winding capacity of the bobbin is greatly increased. Generally, the winding length of the bobbin can reach about 100,000 meters.

(2) It can remove some defects on the yarn, and improve yarn quality.The original yarn transported from the textile mill generally has many appearance defects. When passing through the yarn cleaning device on the winder, the lint, dust, weak yarn, coarse knot and other impurity defects on the yarn can be removed. In this way, the appearance quality of the fabric can be improved, and the average strength of the yarn can be increased because the weak links on the yarn are removed, thereby reducing the breakage of the yarn in the subsequent process.
